🧘‍♀️ 5 Ways We Protect Our Peace at Daffo 🧘‍♀️ 5 Ways We Protect Our Peace at Daffodil Digital

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on how we actually support mental wellness—not just in May, but all year long. At Daffodil, protecting our peace isn’t a perk. It’s a practice. Here are a few ways we build it into our culture:

🗓 Calendar Blocks Are a Boundary

We block our calendars when we need to focus—no questions asked. Whether it’s deep work or just a breather from back-to-back Zooms, uninterrupted time is respected.

🌍 Work From Wherever

Daffodil is fully remote, and we lean into it. Whether you’re posting up at a local coffee shop, hopping on Wi-Fi from the mountains, or relocating for a season, flexibility is built into how we work.

📥 The Ways We Work

We swap out unnecessary calls for async updates so no one’s calendar is full of Zooms that could’ve been a Slack/Email/Text.

🌙 Guilt-Free Log-Offs

We encourage everyone to log off fully—and mean it. Turn off notifications. Close the laptop. Be with your people (your dog, your kids, or your dinner).

💛 Mental Health IS Health

From mental health days to a therapy-friendly culture, we normalize taking care of ourselves. We talk about it, support it, and make sure our benefits reflect it.
We’re back on your feed with full hearts and big We’re back on your feed with full hearts and big news — Daffodil just turned 10! Ten years of creativity, growth, and unforgettable memories — and it’s all thanks to YOU. Our community has been the constant light through every twist, turn, and triumph, and we truly wouldn’t be here without your support.

We’re marking the milestone by reflecting on 10 things that make Daffodil, Daffodil:

1. We lead with heart
2. We treat people like people
3. We believe connection is our superpower
4. We celebrate growth
5. We don’t just “do social”
6. We work with you, not for you
7. We are curious, never static
8. We protect our culture
9. We make room for real life
10. We give a damn

Here’s to our next 10 sun laps — thanks for being a part of it!

Now off to eat our birthday cake… 🎂
It’s hard to believe Peggy is coming up on a yea It’s hard to believe Peggy is coming up on a year at Daffodil —she brings sharp thinking, calm energy, and a creative eye to everything she touches, and we’re so glad she’s part of the team. 💛

A longtime social and influencer strategist, she joined the Daffodil team last July as our Senior Social Media Account Director, bringing with her years of experience leading high-impact programs for brands like Uber, Intuit, and Gap Inc. Her agency roots run deep (shoutout to Collectively, Inc.), and she’s known for her thoughtful approach to client relationships, brand storytelling, and partnership strategy.

Outside of Daffodil, Peggy is also the founder of PoppyGifting—a modern gifting company built on the belief that thoughtful, beautifully executed gifts can create meaningful connection. What begins as a creative outlet grows into a full-fledged business, where she curates elevated gifting experiences for individuals, teams, and events alike.

Keep reading for a few thoughtful reflections from Peggy herself. 👇

1. What inspired you to start Poppy Gifting?

Giving meaningful gifts has always made me really happy. It's a love language of thoughtfulness that I appreciate—honing in on the qualities, interests, and needs to deliver a feeling of gratitude and joy. Working in partnerships and influencer marketing, at One Kings Lane and Collectively Inc., exposed me to the value of gift-gifting as just one way to help establish trust, connect, and delight your clients! But, it's time consuming. An entire team would take a week to execute client gifts at the holidays. I wanted to create a solution for outsourcing the task of gifting without losing the personal touch. So Poppy Gifting was born as a service that makes gifting easier, efficient, and most importantly—more meaningful.

2. Any dream clients—either for Poppy or in the social world?

Oooh, either Moda Operandi or Kule. Luxury, fashion, lifestyle but FUN. Because what good is anything we're doing if it's not fun? Both of those brands have lighthearted personalities with a cheeky tone that I love to embody in my own brand, work, etc.
Every strong campaign starts with one powerful ide Every strong campaign starts with one powerful idea. The key is knowing how to stretch that idea across platforms without watering it down.

At Daffodil, we help clients turn big-picture moments—like product launches, brand reveals, or keynote stages—into content that’s thoughtfully tailored for both the platform and the people it’s meant for:

→ Instagram Reels to stop the scroll and build buzz

→ LinkedIn carousels to spark conversation and show leadership

→ GIFs on X to keep things timely and in the mix

We believe that when content is repurposed strategically, you lead with intention, show up with clarity, and create momentum—everywhere your audience is. Because the best content doesn’t just fill space—it engages, inspires, and connects.
Angela’s back on the Daffodil team—and if you Angela’s back on the Daffodil team—and if you knew her before, you already know we’re in SUCH great hands. 👏

She’s jumping in while SM is out on maternity leave (just like last time!) and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her back. A longtime PR pro and fellow Outcast alum, Angela brings 17+ years of communications experience to the table. In addition to being a seasoned comms pro (and one of the most organized humans we know), she’s also the co-founder of pinchleave, a company born from the belief that we can do parental leave SO much better.

After working closely with new moms and their managers, Angela saw a clear opportunity: instead of leaving teams scrambling or overburdened, bring in experienced senior support to handle both strategy and execution during leave. Pinch fills that gap—offering seamless, flexible coverage that helps parents step away with peace of mind and makes coming back a whole lot smoother.

We asked her a few quick questions about juggling entrepreneurship and part-time agency life:

1. What inspired you to start Pinch?

We’ve seen parental leave from all angles, and we’ve experienced it firsthand for ourselves, and frankly, there is room for improvement. Even the most compassionate of employers can still do better for expecting parents and their teams.

2. What’s a piece of advice you’d give to a new parent as they return to work?

Give yourself so much grace (even more than you think) and set clear boundaries.

3. What’s something you’ve learned from building your own business that’s shaped how you work?

I already knew the importance of relationships but I’ve learned that my network is one of my best assets and untapped resources. I prioritize making time to stay connected with those I’ve worked with and these conversations often inspire me and drive my business forward.
✨ To understand tone, you’ve got to get into c ✨ To understand tone, you’ve got to get into character. Literally.

At our Daffodil retreat, Our SVP of Digital, Patricia Nelson led us in a creative workshop: Perfecting Brand Voice: Adapting Copy for Different Tones & Audiences.

The assignment? Reimagine a classic fairytale character as a modern brand partner—and build out a campaign that actually works. We’re talking voice traits, brand attributes, channel-specific copy, and AI-generated visuals to bring it all to life.

Yes, it was fun. Yes, it was wildly creative. Yes, there was high-fives flying around. But it was also deeply relevant to the work we do every day:

→ Crafting consistent, intentional, and authentic copy in many different brand voices
→ Writing for and targeting different audiences across nuanced social channels
→ Building trust, connection, and differentiation that create long term relationships online

Because when brand voice and strategy align, everything clicks. We like to think of brand voice as a compass - it helps everyone (copywriters, designers, strategists as well as the consumer) to navigate the overall brand experience in a cohesive way.
